I’m Becky, pastry chef and owner of Flour Lane Bake Shop. My passion is creating incredible desserts for special moments in your life. I specialize in making cakes, tarts, cupcakes, and other sweet treats for weddings, birthdays, baby showers, or just a really great Saturday night.
After a 10+ year career in marketing and account management, I decided to follow my dream of cooking and baking professionally. I’ve worked with both savory and sweet in boutique catering and restaurants, most recently helping to expand the pastry program under the guidance of award-winning chefs at a highly regarded bakery in the D.C. Metro Area. I started Flour Lane Bake Shop in 2019 before I knew my husband’s job would move our family to Seattle just a few months later. So here we are, totally in love with the Pacific Northwest, and I’ve been thrilled to be so warmly welcomed into the incredible food wonderland of this city.

I take immense pride in my work—using the best ingredients and baking methods—and make my confections beautiful while ensuring they taste incredible. I work with many flavors of cake and use swiss meringue buttercream—it's the grown-up alternative to the super-sweet american buttercream and gives cakes that beautiful finish while locking in all the decadent cake goodness. Everything is made from scratch, no store-bought fillings or mixes. I do my best to purchase tools and ingredients from local sources.
